Conducting applied studies on the development of the Bardawil Lagoon. Preparation of the “Fishing Vessels Captain” in accordance with the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), International Labor Organization (ILO), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Preparing a graduate who is qualified to lead fishing vessels in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and in the high seas, in addition to determine fish stocks assessment, using devices to reneging fishes aggregations, and choosing the appropriate vessels and methods for catching them.

Establishing the scientific research rules among students and urging them to conduct applied research in the field of marine fisheries under the supervision and participation by the professors. Opening communication channels and cooperation with relevant scientific and applied institutions at the regional and international levels, which supports the continuous development and modernization of technology used in the areas of fisheries development.
